Monkey Kong

Just watched the Big Ape last Sunday, well I wasn't a real big fan of King Kong when it was released way back, so I really didn't expand much either. Nevertheless, I slept through the first hour, it was super boring man! By the way, many a times I woke up asking, "Is Kong out yet?"

And one of my friend answered, "Its a three hour movie la, you expect to see Kong for that long meh? BORING WAN!"

Alright, I got his point, nevertheless, things turn exciting when they landed on this gila island with 100ft walls. Shiok man, see their head kena whack, see them kena bite, those aborigins are POWER CRAZY!!! Anyway, back to the main stream, the action after that was ok, didn't sleep, that is why its ok.

Well, there might be some derailed storyline here and there, but overall, the movie is not bad lor, at least someone who doesn't enjoy movie much say it is ok means it is OK lor.

Oh yeah, they didn't use much computer animation for Kong, infact, I think they use the original method of ..dunno what it is called, that is why Kong's movement might not be as real as we all hoped for.

Week of prosperity

There are many interpretations for the word "Prosperity", some measure in terms of financial wealth, some measure in terms of properties, some measure in terms of this and that. As for me, my personal term for prosperity has to do with the one word non of us can't live without, "FOOD!"

Well, we had our company lunch on Monday, in celebration of a successful symposium held at the Corus Hotel at Jalan Ampang. We had things like pork meat (YUM YUM!), vegetable(without the "S"), lala, petai prawns, this and that blah blah. Well, its not always we have lunch with fellow colleagues and boss together, so I took the opportunity to whack 3 servings of rice. Well, guess I was the last man standing after that lunch, it was so darn heavy I could hardly move.

Anyway, I had another pack of Nasi Lemak about an hour after that...

Today (Thursday), went for another big meal in supposedly Serdang, but ended up in Sri Kembangan. Well the food was pretty expensive, nearing RM200 for a meal with drunken steam crab, PATIN!!! I LOVE PATIN!!!, vegetable, pork and thai style chicken, ahh good taufu....

Nothing much going these few days, nothing interesting at all, the only thing going on with me is doing documentation for ETL, one module of the company's software, the largest module in fact.

Besides that, I've been busying myself by teaching Junbo some programming, try to improve myself, and so forth. Well, just can't really sit still at one position all the time you know....

A shipwreck experience

True enough, there's a huge relief from work, as finally, I feel much more free, so much so there was this urge to pen down a story.

It happened long long time ago when you or I wasn't even existing, maybe during our granpa granma, or ah pek and ah lians time, oh sorry, nowadays oso got ah peks and ah lians and ah bengs and so forth, anyway, it happened at a time when Yap Ah Loy was buzy exploring the world, oh shit was it Yap Ah Loy? Oh no, forgot what was that fellah's name, the one who visited Melaka and got Cilaka"ed".

Alright, now next up was this young man by the name of Ah Tan, who like travelling alot. His dad own a fishing boat, a junk actually, you know those boat with flat bottom and very high tech sails? Yeap those were the days, anyway, I made up the fishing part, I am not sure myself if junks were used for fishing. So one day, he decided to earn his own money by doing small small things like, designing more efficient fishing nets, or thinking of ways to curi tulang, or develope ways to make better Milo drink.

One fine day, while out fishing(one again I have to clarify that it might not be fishing), a HUGE THUNDERSTORM hit and overturned his boat. Winds gushed mightily breaking the sails at first. So mighty was the storm that his hi-tech sails that were suppose to withstand even the strongest wind couldn't bear it anymore. The storm was almost similar to the one in the movie "Perfect Storm". Ah Tan, being the main character of this story, survived of course, hanging by some broken wood for his life.

Three days pass when a HUGE boat appeared our of nowhere. The kind captain offered Ah Tan help by sacrificing one of his small emergency boat. Ah Tan was bemused, "Can't I just follow your crew to land?"

The captain replied, "I would like to, but we are sailing aimlessly at this particular ocean too, so I suggest you take the small boat with a little bit of supply and, GOOD LUCK!"

With that, Ah Tan set off wondering in the little boat. Another day passed when he he came across another boat. This time, the captain offered him a compass and guide back to his homeland.

Ah Tan was of coursed very very happy, and in no time at all, found his homeland.

Sorry for the boring story, so happen it reflected my situation working. Well you see, boss wanted me to add something in BTS(some module la) and it is common knowledge amongs the programmers in our office that, trying to decode BTS is liken to being shipwrecked in the ocean. The person who coded it, well left the company and a HUGE headache for anyone who tried to take over.

But thanks to one of our senior, who stopped by and provided the little rescue boat, managed to find the little part that needed extras, but still I was stuck. Then came another senior, offering his compass and at last, I'M DONE!!!!

Well working in a field where you are not familiar with really takes alot of patience, not from our part, but from the seniors who need to spend time listening to your questions and answering them without confusing you too much. Well I think I overdid it, so much so one of our senior left the company almost exactly one month after I officially join.

Anyway, was expecting a company lunch tomorrow, but once again, posponed(second time) to next Monday. Seriously though, I'm expecting oysters, clamps, lots of seafood, in short, A SUPERB BUFFET!!! But once again, I can only tell myself, "Dream on boy, dream on....."

What hurts?

Well there are many term when you talk about "hurt". Some are super sensitive towards pain, some are not so yet they are more sensitive, err sensitive as in, sensitive la something like, cannot take jokes and all, (you can try clicking here if you really want to know). Alright, I might get crucified for using the example there but....nvm la. Anyway, I found something that kinda hurt me today, ok maybe not really hurt, but I just don't know what kind of title to put in, so mah put in "Hurt" lor.

Was makaning at a restaurant near my house by the name of Hoi Kei. This restaurant specializes in Fish Head which they cook with oyster sauce, lots of garlic, and it taste FANTASTIC!!!! Well, dad ordered 2 plate of fish head, ho jien(egg fried with oyster), Thai style pork leg, yau mak fried with fuu yee and salad squid. After makaning, I felt a little urge to do small business, that's when I went to the kitchen looking for the loo and relieve myself. The master cook is a very friendly guy indeed, when he saw me, he greeted me and told me, "Go ahead la! You can use the toilet wan.."

Well of course I gave him a smile and proceeded to wee wee(Not wesley wee). Upon opening the door and stepping out, the nice master chef posted me a question, "Are you James' brother?"

Of course I went, "................"

Do I really look that matured? NO RITE!!!

Wedding!

Just attended George's wedding today, well din really attend, just help serve food at the makan area. Geesh, can't really remember how long George and Feli pak tor liao, dunno how many fruitfull years, they tie the knot lor, another happy ending!

Anyway, I think George must be pretty excited on his big day, he actually order SO MUCH FOOD!! that we servers didn't have the time or space to display all the food for the attendees to choose from. We had to cramp in 18 types of dishes(more than 18 actually) and ended up displaying less that that and had to keep the rest at the back because we just ran out of space. To be frank, everything was in a MESS!! But hei, we enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the fact that none of us get to eat first before the visitors came down...so sad.

Hei George, if you reading this I suggest you make it up to US SOON!! HAHA

Anyway, this is the first time I experience something PetPet always kena, "weak knee". To be frank, I really enjoyed myself today, it was the first time I was being so RUDE friendly to all the visitors, you know asking them to help themselves tell them not to be shy, joke with them etc etc and of course rush them, you know the line was FREAKIN PILIN UP!!!

Anyway, that's it for a fun day, will be waiting for the next round, you see, one of our friend(who is very closely related to Feli), was posted a question, "So when you getting married?"

He spontaneously responded, "Wait for George first la.."

So, we should be expecting another wedding soon right??....

My day in Review

Well, helped out for the symposium today(what to do, staff mar, forced to carry stuff, shoot video, carry stuff and carry stuff). Can't really conclude much Boring mar it was too interesting even for someone like me to understand. FINE! I ADMIT! Didn't enjoy it because the food SUCKED! Seriously though, was hoping for a big luncheon or buffet at least once for the whole day, ended up with sandwiches, tasteless fried rice, sandwiches, tasteless fried beehoon, and lots of plain water. It is nowonder I had gastric on the way home(which was literally JAM JAM JAM ALL THE WAY!).

I notice one thing today, I can't really handle stress, sorry, my mistake, what I meant is that, I can't really handle people who can't handle stress, or something like that lar, you know lar, I know lar, liddet lar, nevermind la.

Don't really want to go into details of the symposium. Just that everything was smooth and the oversea speaker really took our time, you know suppose to end at 5 also he must lengthen everything and cause us to sleep la, play game la, this la that la, anything la, I even had time to create a wall paper for my phone on Jane's PC. I think there was abit of technical error today, instead of promoting our product, "Speedminer" the speaker was promoting more of their product, "Ensemble" from Intersystem. Once again, I wouldn't want to get too detailed.

The one person I really dreaded to meet was Mr. Teoh, someone I met yesterday(Wednesday) to take a video shoot of his testimonial. Of course he was totally excited and asked us when will we publish the shoot! It was suppose to be today, but no thanks to Michael Ong's photo editing skills, you know I know la. Thank God he did see me, and he was very nice to not say anything about a missing video clip.

Did I mention I was at IOI resort in Putrajaya yesterday? Well, it was the most sucky experience one can have. Our clerk forgot to tell us that the meeting is cancelled and you know I know again la, spend dunno how many hours(my first time there and my colleague's dunno how many times there) getting there. We even went up all the way to the 11th floor when we enquired for Mr. Choo. Well, they nicely redirected us to Mr. Cheong whom I so happen to bump into today too. To be frank, I enjoyed the little trip yesterday to IJN and IOI, what more, I ate alot too....

Seriously though, don't really look forward to tomorrow, I spend the whole evening on my bed, and the next thing I know is, tomorrow have to work...............

Internet Problems

Well, we are all living in a digital world, a world where we can do endless search, a world we come to live with and can't live without, a world called internet, and almost all of use are using, "StreamyX" which is to me, more like suckyX, y sucky? Cause I couldn't connect for the past 4 days, why ? I DON'T KNOW! Made me format my pc, do this and that, and suddenly, it is up and running again for no apparent reason.

Well, dad has been really pushing me to fix it, and to be frank, I have not a single clue how to fix this stupid problem stated with "ERROR ^&*" oh sorry i mean "error 678".

Finnished building the 2 modules that was allocated to me, and well, have been pretty free. So now I'm testing out their software, trying to find bugs, and found a few I did, will leave it to the seniors to fix it, not that I don't want to fix it myself, if I were to touch anything inside, things will go BAD REALLY BAD, ok let me paint u a picture :-

At first we get an error like "something is undefined", if i were to do anything, we'll end up with "CSP GATEWAY ERROR" which means, KOYAK!

Well, maybe because I am too free in the office, boss ask me to go IJN and IOI tomolo to interview their dunno who la.

Ok time to sleep, at last I get a chance to update my blog, but don't know why the javascripts aint working for this blog page.

Lazy Day

Tuesday - Man, what a day, totally lost at work, nobody to disturb(everyone's busy), boss walking around, can't play a fool, shit, head spinning, dunno what I'm doing sitting infront of the PC so long. Well, for someone who has such short concentration span(that's me), really regretted not being able to relax like I usually do.

Was having a hard time squeezing the juice out of my brain just to concentrate on what I'm doing. Shit, I don't even know what I'm writting now! Well, another long day ahead, I guess I'll pass writting extra stuff for the day....

New Skin

Well, it's been awhile since I've touch my blog's skin, thought of building one from scratch. Well, have started a little here and there, but it will take a long time, since I'm not that free, only limited time during the weekends.

Still looking for a suitable theme for it, any ideas? maybe just put some circles here there everywhere...

WEEKENDS!!!!!

Everyday feels so long when you're sitting infront of the computer without internet, I'm not talking about streamyX or what, its the work place, yeap, no internet! Hrmmm, seriously, the past 2 weeks has been abit of a steep learning curve for me, programming is easy at the same time hard! Well, there are no words to explain.

Chun Eng, my source of information and refuge is leaving the company soon, well guess I'll just have to bug him constantly for the next week, give him some memories before he leaves, anyway, wish him all the best in his new company, and may he have more trainees to bug him next time! Yio, sorry for being so buggy...

The electricity died this afternoon, about 11.30p.m. when we were happily working(ahem). The first person to really rejoice was of course me. Well, I was busy trying to complete one small module, adding this and that, really needed the break. Went for early lunch, really and was told to get back in 1 hour time but really hoped it would be much longer. Was given a double blow just when I found out a bug in my current module, and was thinking of ways to solve it, in comes, gotto create another module first. Good thing Kenneth will be helping me out this time, so it shouldn't be a problem, yet.

Felt like ages since I've posted something, hopefully will be able to find more interesting things to post in the mere future.

Hot Cold Hot Cold Cold

I know, the weather has been pretty unpredictable lately, well, sudden heat, sudden rain, sudden hot, anything goes, but back in the office, it is either cold, or HOT!

Yeah, we really suffered on Monday and Tuesday, it seems the aircond that is cooling us down in the cubicle, NOTE there are 4 of us in one small cubicle, started spewing out hot, and yes note the word HOT air and that really sucks.

Anyway, that gave us excuse to slow down and do things slowly....

shit still in office, will continue later....

Work?

Geesh, just officially started working for 3 days, was given something to do and its taking up tonnes of time as you know, I'm just a beginner. It was on Monday (second day of work) when I found out our boss decided to cut internet access for all personal PCs during working hours.

That left one of our trainee(shall not disclose his name) to go back to his old habits of eating bread during lunch time, so that he can suft the net during lunch time. Ok this may sound weird, but, working in an IT company without internet, hrmmmmmmmmm.

Its ok though, since I started working, I've refrain myself from using MSN Messenger in office, but not having proper access while working can be abit hard, you see, I'm new to programming, so I find it useful to search for some codes, well looks like I'll have to disturb the seniors more nowadays...

Bad Habits

Well W3s just told me that Sarah activated her blog again, this time with funny cute skins and tonnes of scripts to make her blog very hard to navigate interesting.

Anyway, 5 bad habits; this post is just to reply to her blog, lets start:

  1. Sitting infront of the computer from 9am till 6pm with only 1 hour break, go home, still sit infront of the computer check mails and doing the utmost nonsense like what I'm doing now (I don't mean blogging, I mean replying to Sarah's post)

  2. Sleep either too little or too much depending on situation

  3. Eat ALOT!!!

  4. Bitting ice

  5. Lazy, took me a long time to complete the training files (of course with valid reasons la)
Oh got somemore wan, but since the rule was just 5, so I state 5 only lor....

EPL

Man, I notice how I cannot stand EPL matches anymore nowadays, BORING BORING BORING!!!! I remember last time when Wes, Danl, James and I will call one another to watch a game during the weekends, but it seems that die hard habit has somehow deserted us, NO! Don't blame us, blame those freckled old and kiasu managers in EPL! Gone are the days when 4-4-2 attacking style football dominated the pitch, gone are the days we see high scoring matches with crisp passing and direct attacking play. They use to clear the ball with 2 players up there waiting to attack it. Gone are the days we will hear loud cheers dozens of time in a game, GONE GONE GONE!!!!!

So what happened to all the cool things we use to witness?? Well, it seems that teams are opting for damage control nowadays, reverting to the defensive 4-5-1 style of play. I really cannot call it 4-5-1 though, teams are going for a more comprehensibel defensive lineup of 10-0-0. They clear the ball defensively so that opponent wont get somewhere near to shooting range. They are so defensive nowadays, we hardly hear any cheers after waiting for blurdy 90 minutes infront of the TV, heck I even slept watching 2 teams playing like small kids on the field, no disregards, but I believe they are much better than just sitting down in a defensive position settling for 0-0 most of the time.

So you see, there is a stark contrast between the olden EPL and current EPL, and with the introduction of that Russian clown by the name of "Ohmanasandwich" thinking he is doing good pouring in tonnes of wasted money to buy the championship, he has just made EPL even more boring, what more with the arrogance of "moreinwhore", I can't see how EPL will ever improve. Adios, off to laliga for now.

Oh yeah, the only cheer chelsea brought was beating MU!!!!

College BooBoo Again

I was in the company the other day, just before penning the signature the work there as a trainee(even though I am not a very qualified programmer) for 3 months before plunging into the degree course in E & E Engineering(Electrical and Electrical)(told you I am not a qualified programmer) when this call came from "000";

000: Hello this is Jimmy from Informatics.

Me: Hello Jimmy, anything??

000: Yes Jacob right? I just received your offer letter from USQ and I am SO SHOCKED!!!!

Me: They rejected me??(Sarcasticly)

000: NONO(laughing) But I am still very shocked!(Obviously he was) You've got offer letter for semester 3 starting third of November.

Me: WHAT!!!! But I CAN'T!!!! I THOUGHT YOU SAY THAT REGISTRATION FOR SEMESTER 3 IS OVER ALREADY!!!!!

000: YES YES YES!!! That is why I am so shocked. So do you want to take semester 3??

Me: Obviously I can't! So can you please register me for sem 1?

000: Errr, so do you want to start semester 3??

Me: No I can't!

000: But why not?

(stories continue for about 4-5 minutes with him trying to explain to me about semester 3, coaxing me to take it up)

Me: Would it be ok if you resubmit so that I can take semester 1 instead?

000: No no problem at all...

Me: Aha, so I guess I'll register for Semester 1 2005 OK??

000: Okay shouldn't be a problem I guess

Me: Then can you do it?

000: Sure thank you.......

Darn, almost 10 minutes of talk for NOTHING!!!

Everyday

I have this weird feeling nowadays, can't seem to wake up feeling utterly fresh. Well woke up with a splitting headache today, and that took away half my day. Went to Hesper to try and continue the things, met a new colleague, Albert, who so happen to be from the same line as me, Computer and Electronics Engineering! ALRITE!! I certainly learnt a few things from him, yeah I was doing the wrong thing all this while, so took the opportunity for him to explain to me what I should do. To be frank, today was one of the most productive day building CSP pages.

Ok enough about work, felt like I've not been updating this web for quite sometime now, have been busy trying to catch up with sleep hehehehe. By the way, something interesting happened on Saturday, a small group of us discovered that Indians indeed don't like pork, and we found a very interesting way they will come to eat.

It all happened at a wedding dinner located at Ampang Park shopping complex (can't remember the name of the restaurant). A group of us, 6 adults, 2 teenagers including me, and 2 children. One of the children happen to be an Indian boy, who claims he doesn't like pork. OK fine here's a picture of what we ate;

Okay, the taste was pretty good, you know, as usual meat and stuff, and the indian boy whacked whole heartedly exclaiming, "WAHH VERY NICE!!!" every 5 seconds.

Of course we were all shocked by his reaction and gave him a round of applause. Our first thought was of course, this young lad knows how to enjoy pork, that was until the very last moment when he once again exclaim, "This is the best duck I have ever tasted!"

Friendly Malaysians

Was on my way back to college after registering for the degree course, inside the LRT(Light Rail Transit) when I bumped into and Indian couple(I assume the are from India, maybe Bangladesh) with their son. They were asking all the Indians around how to go to MidValley, too bad those people whom they approach gave them a pretty cold and useless responds and directions! So being a nice fellah, what more he was just standing beside me, I looked at him, smiled and asked, "Are you going to MidValley?"

He turned back at me and replied, "Yes but I think I'm lost."

So I pointed to the map and told him, "Stop at Bangsar, and take a feeder bus to Midvalley, it's only 50 cents if I'm not mistaken."

At that moment, the Indian guy whom he earlier asked turned and hurried away and the lost man was like trying to stop him. Nevermind that.

So in the end, he stopped our conversation, without even an expression of appreciation! In fact, he just turned away, mumbled a few words to his I presume, wife, and then looked away. That's it!! NO MORE BEING FRIENDLY!!!

Suemi's Bday II

Note: Sorry for that face of Wes, apparently he doesn't want his picture to be posted. He thinks that that picture doesn't look good enough, I think. As you can see, I had to edit it 2 times to avoid confrontation hehehehe....enjoy

15th October 2005, at Burger King, Megamall. Slept after coming back from badminton about 3 that day, and woke up at 4.30 waiting for sleeping queen, SimYing to arrive. She was suppose to arrive about 4.35 but due to her overexertion during the badminton game, coupled with loud snore and a sister who was too busy to wake her up, she was late, lets say for about 1 hour. Anyway, we weren't late, so its ok. Bump into a slight incident on the way there, it seems Sim Teng's car was a reluctant worker as the engine started to shake violently and the car came to a halt midway, causing people to honk really loud and with SY pressuring ST all the way, it is nowonder she is so blur!!! Anyway, everything went on smooth after that, she started her car again and WHOALA!!! It worked! Of course SY was asking her why she would drive if such thing occured before in the past, ST just replied, she had it fixed already few days back.....

Anyway, they had their meal in Burger King. Suemi was sad because none of us wanted to eat vegetarian food, don't ask why. Of course after explaining abit, she was happy and jolly again. After the meal, Danl suggested that we terrorize the whole of Megamall before converging at top floor food court to sing birthday song and of course to eat Kim's homemade cake. So nice of her. During that time, I bumped into Junbo while Danny was stalking someone, and we decided to visit the pet shop located on the top floor. To be frank, I don't think they really keep the animals fresh, I see the poor golden retriver scratching his butt off.

Anyway, we gathered about 8.30 on the top floor.

Suemi(left) and cake maker, Kim(right)

Well, she was really happy, so much so she stuffed the whole piece(NOTE: not the whole cake) into her mouth just like that!!!!

Alright, talking about brotherhood, lets just say, Suemi has got a great brother, why? Because....

Because they cant both do almost similar things!

Of course Mr. Wes was there as well, and as usual, he attracted much attention...

this time, attention from kids. It seems this kid was so attached to him, Wes had no place to hide at all!!! Anyway, his facial expression was just made up to attract attention make the picture stand out more. You can ignore the other surrouding people and atmosphere, especially the corners, felt lazy to crop the picture.

By the way, talking about sibblings....

Believe it or not, They are related!! GEEESHHH!!!!

Headache

Woke up this morning with a slight headache, either it is too much sleep or not enough sleep! Has been in the office the past 2 days, trying to learn CSP. Danl is very helpful though, answering my questions and asking me whenever I needed him.

Its kinda hard for someone without programming background to do that, but by Grace, kinda enjoy it. After learning CSP, it kinda broaden my perspective abit, but since my javascripting still sucks, geesh!!! Yesterday, September 13, Thursday, was a fun filled day. Started off by waking up early and waiting for Danl at Bangsar for a ride. Then switch on the comp and got stuck with it until we went out for KFC!! YAY!!! Quite fun, its been a long time since I makan KFC. Ate a Zinger burger and another Fillet Burger(which by the way is the size of a peanut).

Was suppose to buy stamps from the post office, but some lazy officers la, can't even reach out a helping hand, COME ON LAR!!! STAMPS ONLY!!! That also they make me wait at the stupid counter 3 for this lady who ran away. After waiting about 5-10 minutes at a stupid empty counter for stamps, I finally showed my displeasure and left. Finally got the stamps for him when I went home and stopped by another post office at my area.

Went over to Healthyway at night to do data entry. Was quite fast so after 2 hours or so, went out for a short meal. Ended up that meal took a while longer because of the rain and I had to buy a zinger burger for Moses to satisfy him abit, since he waited so long hehe

What a Week

Yeap this is the building I'm studying in, Informatics KL. Just finnished my advance diploma in Computer Engineering. With my last semester's result finally out, went to college to request for diploma cert and oso result letter. As usual, when I ask, "When can it be ready?" the reply swiftly came;

"Come next week la, sure ready."

True enough, a week later, which was this Monday, went to the college and guess what? For whatever reason, the person who is suppose to sign my result letter, Mr something took MC thus leaving me speechless again. And for this reason, a simple enrollment for my degree has to be delayed another week, weird rite?

Yeah weird..

Remember the post about my badminton racquet?? How fast the string broke and so forth? Well I think I've broken the record once again, string broke two times in a week. This totally sucks but thank God my game did improve after that long layoff spell.

Hrm, I'm actually in an office now, no not to work, but to disturb the staffs here and try to complete some things. Just completed the second "thing" and felt lazy plus a little bit of urge for big business. Wanted to polute the toilet here, but after doing some calculations, I rather not. Hrm, two toilets for about 15 people, bad bad, moreover I don't want them to blame me for lack of productivity.

Hrmmm, since I'm totally free now, waiting for Daniel to finnish his work and then will follow him to club for badminton...again without my racquet...

Missing Warrior

Well, I can't believe it myself, just a day of badminton and that's it, the string "putus" already. I thought my best record was good enough last time(1 week) but it is even better now, one day, that's all!!! And the best thing of all, I haven't even played even one set with this new racquet yet.4

Sob Sob, there you go, a car without engine, a war without warrior!

I'm totally speechless now, haven't even get the full feel of the racquet and thats it!!!

Okay enough with the racquet, I wouldn't want to go into technical details "How It Broke"

Next up, Suemitra with her hand in her MOUTH!!! WOOHOO!! anyway, wont elaborate much here. By the way, I think Suemi allows me to post it up right??

Oh Crabby, if you happen to stumble upon this site, note that I forgive you somewhat calling me, "blind" even though you didn't use that word.

New Racquet AT LAST!!

Was just posting on my trusty old racquet hoping my dad would read it and buy me a new one after accepting the fact that I will not get a new racquet. But to my surprise, DAD ACTUALLY GOT ME ONE!!!

WOOHOO!!! LOVE IT MAN!! It is the exact same model I was having my eyes on! The first testing was failure as I forgot to change the grip. But it is now changed and I shall be able to test it again tonite.....

TOTALLY ESTHETIC!!!

Geesh, haven't been free to post anything up lately, but since today I'll be free for some moment, I'm here to share my joy, yeah just got my result last night, not the best! But DEFINATELY VERY VERY SATISFYING!!! Yeah, out of the very few of us from engineering who took up Networks as our major, I PASSED ALL THE FREAKIN SUBJECTS!!! Was quite worried when my coursework and progress test din gather as much points as I would like, but nevertheless, just rely on God, do some studies, YAY I PASS!!!

Ok enough about the exam results.

Wanted to post about badminton the other day when blogger suddenly cut me off for no reason. It was then I had to rush off to do some things for my mom. Wanted to blog about it yesterday but was in Hesper half day for the training, yeah at last, after a struggle with the first module, I FINALLY FINNISHED IT!!! Was quite dissapointed to find out that it wasn't all that important, and there were ready made examples ready, was straining my mind for 2 weeks for that!!!

Thus, I'm a little bit more free today, and I shall tell the story of my trusty old racquet.

Well sorry for leaving the picture here, this was my 3rd racquet. The first was a ProAce something which I broke after hitting my brothers with it(can't remember clearly what happened), second was a Yonex Carbonex 7(I think) which broke after I let my brothers use, and third, this wan lor, another ProAce. In fact, I started to improve alot after using this racquet, maybe because I loved it so MUCH!!!

But now, it belongs to my dad, he claimed it after using and falling in love with it. So because of that, he got me a Wilson Hypercarbon which broke recently and now, I'm racquetless again. Nevermind though, just found out that dad ordered a racquet I wanted after visiting Uncle Tan's shop in Bangsar!

Hrm, I really don't know what happened to me, can't think of what to write about my old racquet.....

Guitar

I like guitar very much, and I guess its an inheritance from my dad, he loves it too! The first ever guitar which I've laid hands on (a very good quality 12 string acoustic Yamaha) ended up in two pieces, literally when my cousin and I sat on the neck and broke it. Can't blame us you know, we were just 3-5 years old then, in fact, I don't even remember that incident.

It was years later when my dad bought his next guitar, a very lovable Hofma which I learn my very first chord;

Dad was very nice, he bought some basic guitar guide for me, and hence, I learn it myself, slowly but surely, got hooked to it. Hrm, I guess the most important think about playing the guitar is the ability to "feel" the song, practice, have a good ear, practice, good hand coordination, more practice and finally even more practice! Not that I'm a good player, but I do enjoy playing it alot, and best thing of all, you can always strife to improve.

One thing for sure, when it comes to taking care of things, I really need to improve. you might not notice it, but, well something is missing, something important!

So, you must be wondering how in the world the guitar is tuned? Hrmmm, too bad my camera is out of battery now, maybe in the next post or two I'll provide some clue.

After a few years of trying things out myself, I notice that maybe I've reached the limit of what one can do without proper guidance, hence I started searching online for some guide to improve. Found a few, but the one that I got stuck to is, guitar.about.com. Of course that helped me abit, not much but still, a little bit more.

I actually would like to learn how to play the classical guitar. Well who knows, in the near future, I'll be able to learn it in a formal manner.

The CSI effect?

Was reading yesterday's newspaper when one particular post cought my eyes;

Please click image to read the story

I have to admit though, I do watch CSI alot, and yeah, pretty facinating show. It was such a success they had to produce another two series, CSI:Miami and CSI:NY. In my opinion, CSI:Miami is a flop whereas CSI:NY is by far the best amongst those three. Just a short note about one of my favourite TV series.

After reading the newspaper report, and how the speculate that the murderer might have watch CSI, my first thought is, why in the world would they do that? I mean, isn't it true that if you watch CSI, 99% of all cases will be solved no matter how good or professional the killer is! I mean, LOOK AT THOSE GUYS!!!

I don't know why I just had to put up CSI:Miami

They are cool aren't they?? Anyway, its just sad to see another murder in Malaysia, not a very nice spot for our country's image.

Well, was just thinking for a while when I notice how my brothers like to be CSI too, well we do need a Crime Scene Investigator at home you know, our food seems to go missing (yes stealing food is a crime too!!). Here I'll provide you some graphical example of how my bros go to work

Ah Ho: I wonder who Spill this drink?

Ah Jun: Aiyah that wan not important lar, someone ate my Maggie Mee!!!

Ah Ho & Jun: ..........(ah mun laughing at the background)

Well, as for our case, its always the culprit doing the research, how to solve lar! Nevermind though, with enough episodes of CSI, I'm sure they'll improve.

By the way, this post is for those who don't read newspaper, if you want to find out more on the current happenings, go buy one and read lar! Be it Malay Mail, or Star, or New Straits Times, or whatevery la. Oh yeah, this post was taken from the Malay Mail, since I get free papers of it everyday..

Makan Bash

Lazy to edit the post so I'll just add a disclaimer here:
The black chicken is actually called Guiness Chicken. Just found out from Jeremy, thanks alot

Just for this post, I will decline to add visual evidence as I do not want to reveal the efficiency of my fellow makan friends, namely, Mr.W3s(thanks alot for the transport, really appriciated it), Mr.Bruce(quiet yet efficient), Mr.YMeng(Okay just a picture of him), Jeremy Liew, Kim Kim, Ms.Joyce, Ms.Simying(maybe another picture) and Aunty Sharon. We headed for Venicia restaurant, situated in Casa Venicia Condominium in Selayang, yeah I know so far right?

Here's the list of the food we ordered:-
  1. Sweet and Sour Crab

  2. Hamtan Crab

  3. Their special prawn called "Kong Nam Ha"

  4. Salad Prawn

  5. Fried Lingau

  6. Vege with some meat la

  7. Rojak Taufu

  8. Some nice black chicken "Hak Phei Kai"
Yeap a total of 8 dishes that made my day. Of course it was pretty fun, the group was kinda funny, they like to joke alot, they like to distract others from the food, and of course that played to my advantage. Will not describe how we gobble up the food, but maybe the end result, as I said, will not provide visual evidence of the food itself.

By the way, did mention that will provide pictures of fellow makan members, and here goes,

That's Mr.Ymeng on the far left, Jeremy in the middle (notice how serious he looks?) and Kim keeping a close eye on Ymeng. Notice him reading the book? Its just a trick to derail the rest.

Or course the scariest person of all, who hammered the crap out of the crab while trying to get to the juicy meat,

No that is not her, it's only the leftover from the hammered crab

This is her. Notice how every picture that tries to point to her doesn't turn out nice?? Wonder why...

New Mouse

Geesh, was just telling my dad the other day, more like 2 weeks back, "Dad, better get a new mouse(pc mouse la) coz this wan really irritating, the scroll button not working, the rollerball is not sensitive, and it dirty fast!"

That happened after our trusty logitech decided to die and didn't want to revive nomatter how much I tried to meddle with it. So after 2 weeks or so, suddenly dad came back with a surprise,

Yeap, he bought a very flashy mouse, one that is not only optical, but in literal sense, "Flashy". The light will change colour, red, blue, white, green....

Cool eh?? Thanks dad, love it, even though it is not any branded mouse or what, but its cool and its working fine! By the way, I can't even figure out what brand it is!

MALAY!!!!

Don't know what got into me, was chatting with a friend in Malay yesterday! Used to be quite proud with the command of Malay, you know, scoring a distinction in SPM, but after a while, I realize how much I was stuttering and brain storming to find the correct word to use! Because of that, I'll have to post in Malay today.

Bangun pagi,
Gosok gigi,
Cuci muka, Minum kopi(air kosong sebenarnya)
(This is suppose to be a song)

Makan sarapan pagi, nasi, ayam dan sayur yang dimasak nenek(ama). Walaupun agak masin, atau masam, adui, lupa pulak maksud masin atau masam (what I mean is the food is abit salty), sedap juga, sebab saya suka masakan nenek!

Okay I GIVE UP!!! Its a good thing I gave up at the very end of my post ....Can't let this go on, you know, Malay is an essential language in "Malay"sia, COME ON!! EVEN THE COUNTRY'S NAME IS IN MALAY!!! and contain the letterS "M", "A", "L", "A", "Y". It has been nearly 3 years since I've used proper Malay, even though I do speak Malay with Ijan and Indren, we usually use "rojak" Malay. So now, time to improve, but as the saying goes, where there is the intention, missing shall be the will (my own creation)....it simply means, lazy la

Tyre puncture

Well, it is sort of weird, was just talking about Timo's bike and our little incident when something unexpected happens, yeah was driving my mom's car when BOOM!!! Her rear tyre cought some nails, don't ask me how that happened!

The BOOM sound happened yesterday while coming back from church at Jalan Travis, but upon checking, the tyre wasn't deflated, infact, I couldn't detect anything funny, and the car was working perfectly. The only thing that worried me is the sound the tyre when I move the car. My first thought was, maybe the suspension gave way? Since the tyre was still filled with air, or maybe something wrong with the brakes? But everything seems ok.

Was suppose to go out for a small gathering with a bunch of friends, but due to the problem, I've decided not to take any risk. So the plan was to send my mom to her office, and then send the car for a checkup.

Well, I had a quick look at that tyre again, everything seems ok, so I drove the car out and true enough the sound was still there. I tried to rush things abit when the sound suddenly dissapeared, but the car was hard to handle, felt like the tyre just deflated suddenly. True enough, slowed down, and a nice malay guy in a Waja honked me to warn me of it. At the traffic light, just opened the door to take a peep, AIKS!! Tyre was totally deflated. Wanted to stop there and then for a tyre change but because of the heavy traffic, and because the mechanic shop was just opposite the road, decided to drive slowly there and use their gears for the change.

Well thank God the spare tyre is fairly new, and after the change, just had to pump it up and get going again. Of course I later found out there were some nails INSIDE the tyre which was causing the funny sound.

Gotto be much more careful the next time I drive, you don't know how many nails there are out there...

Hrm, I played Futsal

Hrmmm, quietly went to play futsal today, yeap, ankles are Ok now I guess. Aside from a little bit of numbness here and there, constant fumbling, and making friends with the goal post(story coming up), really feels good to be back running, in literal sense.

Fun it was, with only 11 people at the futsal scene, that means, we get to play full time(almost). Well, needed to catch my breath here and there constantly, you know, almost three weeks of layoff isn't good for your endurance coupled with extras here and there, weaker thigh muscle, etc etc.

Lets see, didn't score any goals today, but did manage to hit 5 shots of which 3 of it hit the post and the other 2 got deflected of a defender. So you see, the post is really my best friend, as we all know, its harder hitting the post than to score! So it wasn't so bad, just that I think I'm holding the all time "kena tiang" record.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention about our big and friendly Moses Nathan! Surprise!! He has his own blog, you will be able to find it

Just thought of using button to link him

Long Long Day

It's really the first time in my life getting stucked in an office facing the PC. It was pretty fun, right until after lunch time, when the mood was lost, so after a while, I decided to help Junbo fix the fax machine. Too bad, even with my skills of destroying fixing electrical stuff, this darn fax machine proved to be too ancient(old) and outdated for my mind to comprehend. So we ended up dropping some screws, trying to dismantle it to no avail, knocking it, almost kicking it, pulling it, pushing it, and in the end, Junbo decided, "Tell Aunty Cassandra to call the technician tomorrow, wasting my time here."

So that's it, a forgone conclusion, a new fax machine should be purchased by that company as the old wan is, way too old. Later on I found out that this is not the first time the fax machine got Junbo into trouble, which further add concrete to my point, get a new one! hehe

Left to Healthyway for my part time job, data entry. This time, I actually followed Moses, in his very big, AJS(asal jalan sudah) bike. Well good thing the bike managed to carry both of us, if it was Timo's C70, it should be AGS(asal gerak sudah) which reminds me, Timo and I had an incident with his trusty 70cc bike before, yeah, we had a puncture......I'm not sure about it, but I feel like I've posted about it before, anyway won't elaborate on that. Don't know how in the world it can happen, I mean, what is the possibility for such occurance?? LITERALLY NILL!!!! But still, nothing in impossible in this world isn't it??

Oh yeah, I'm abit hyper today, abit gila, in fact, I knocked my monitor so hard for no reason just now it turned out;

Yeap, monitor went crazy, just like me then, took me another hard knock to get it back on track...Phew, thank God it is working again. So the morale of the story for today is, take care of your monitor, don't whack it

New Look

Well, its been pretty frustrating, I don't know why the cache thingy can't work as planned!!!

That's right, darn error keep popping up even though I've followed the instruction to the DOT!

Nevermind that, because I got so worked up, I've decided to do other type of programming, doing things to make my blog look better. Sure enough, a friend commented, "I have only 1 word to describe your blog now, "wood"....."

Thanks alot, and that is my main aim!! WOOD!!!

I Feel Heavy..

Yeap, literally, "heavy". After that unfortunate accident during a futsal game, I was forced to the something all of us do best, eat and sleep. Well, that was before but now I do have a few things to finnish up. Just before typing this, I went on the scale and guess what?

Yeap, I'm still maintaining my weight, even. I can't understand one fact though, why am I feeling heavier?? After thinking for a while, maybe it is because my left ankle is weak, yeap that is why, can't think of any other reasons, and wouldn't want any other illogical reasons either. My eating habit, as usual is the same, so I guess the weight should remain the same, for now. Hopefully my body can cope without exercise for this month, or so.

Everyone seems to be busy the past few days, yeah me including, that is why I can't find time to think of any post. So happen, today I'm at home and, well, I've got nothing better to do now, since having some problems with cache thingy, those instructions are abit outdated, for older versions, so might as well take a break and have fun.

Recap

Well, Kim read my last post and she commented, "How come no picture wan??"

Well, it's pretty embarrasing to display such gluttony. Oh what am I talking about!! I shouldn't be ashamed, since it was Kim who couldn't stop eating right?? So there you go, the prove;

Satisfied Kim??

Sushi...

Hrm, I thought after the ankle injury, I will never get to go out for at least a week or so, but thank God, after a few days, was up and running(walking) and then, something unexpected happens, managed to limp my way to "Sushi King" and gobble up 43 plates worth of sushis!!!! Okay I was exaggerating, it was 6 of us(names will not be disclosed for safety reason). Well you see, there's this offer, RM2 per plate, any plate! So that's it, whack!!!!!

Have to admit though, after my little ankle injury, I'm beginning to be pampared, quite pampered, you know, staying at home, eating, eating, sleeping, eating, and with James using my computer quite often, I revert to eating, sleeping and eating again. It was not till yesterday night when went to work abit, doing data entry with Moses, where he took me out for food again, this time Pizza.

Finnished work about 10+ when daddy called, I must fetch my sister from Danl's place, so off to Danl's place I went, and when I was in, was invited to eat fried rice, so fried rice it is! Reached home, mandi, saw the BKT my granny cooked, was sweating from top to bottom, temptation was pretty strong, and then, decided to heat up the pot when my stomach started growling, not because of hunger, but because the sushi was starting to feel uneasy inside and wanted to come out, apparently only the Unagi wanted to stay in my system, thus all the salmon, and ebikos, and this that all was flushed out in an instant, in short, Pangsai. After that, the urge left me, and thus the leftover BKT was saved! Not till today though...

Was writing this post when Kim messaged me over MSN asking me for another sushi session!!!! WOW!!!! And mind you, she's the one complaining about being fat and so on......

Anyway, I declined to go, even though she offered to pay the bills, conscience kicking in about my eating habits I guess.....

I CAN WALK!!!

After 2 days of suffering, I CAN NOW WALK AGAIN!!!! YES!!! Of course still limping around, still better than hopping around like a jumping jack! Worst of all, have to carry at least 88kg on one leg only while hopping, very sad, very very sad. The swell didn't subside, in fact, it grew bigger! But surprisingly, the pain is very much lesser now. Now I can hope to jump back in action in 2-3 weeks time! Well, its hard to stay at home limping around, munching food and not have any guilt about weight control. You see, I'm not being selfish here, but if my appetite start growing again, people around me will suffer!! So I'm actually more concerned for them.

Its nice to see how Wesley exaggurated the situation. Hrm, bear in mind it wasn't that bad, nobody fainted. Well one of the 6yardbox reporters even posted in on the 6yardbox site. Of course the for integrity purposes, the 6yardbox site reporter a much more authentic story.

Hrmm, this injury effected me a little here and there, I'm very lazy to blog now, infact, I'm spending more time thinking how to improve the look of my blog, any ideas???

Sunday, September 11, 2005

Ouch.....

Well, I'll be out for at least a couple of month(s), twisted my ankle very badly. Lets just amplify the situation, I can't walk....

Well, it happened during a futsal game yesterday, jumped for the ball, and accidentally hit eric, lost my balance and then, landed awkwardly. Left with a terrible sore left ankle, swollen and all painful.

Well try to guess which is the injured foot? I still could walk abit yesterday, but come today(Sunday), had to hop to move around, not an easy task considering that I'm a little bit overweight. Of course the swelling have subsided abit, but the pain, well its still there, takes time to heal, and I can't go to work.

I do hope that this injury will not cause me to be lazy hehe......

Break...

Well, semester break is here, will be free for almost 2 months, so what to do? Pray lor, see if I can do anything to fill my time. Of course I found something, learn programming hehe, especially Javascript, pretty fun to learn actually! You know, buttons and stuff. Here, simple example;

Hopefully I can get some new things on this blog with more knowledge, so expect me to blog less these few weeks, as I'm trying to learn up new things. Too bad it doesn't support javascript for my post...

Art Of LoOosing

I love playing competetive sports, badminton, football, futsal, and I usually play amongs my close friends. But one thing I've always notice about this type of games, some people cannot stand the taste of defeat, even if it is just a friendly game or so on! I have to admit too, was like this when I started playing football last time, always fighting hard(not literal fist fight) to win a game! Most of the time, I'll end up looking like;

It was years later I picked up badminton(due to encouragement from my dad). I was very very poor with badminton, so much so even aunties don't want to play with me. It was then I learn to humble and accept defeat, you know lar, losing even to aunties, very hurting wan. This made me even more determined to learn up the game, watch more video clips of international games, train hard, do this and that, and in the end, once again, aunties don't want to play with me, they complain they can't play against me, FINE! Must improve mar, play with men lor.

The sad thing is, some people I play with, do have this "I only want to WIN!" attitude, I mean, COME ON LAR! A game is still only a game, there can only be one winner and one loser. We all should learn how to take defeat, and also to take up challenges! I've seen players walking out because they know that they might lose a game(want muka), this is very bad though, try immagining what your counterpart will feel? It doesn't matter if he's better or worst than you, play your very best to enjoy!! You never know what will happen in a game;

And indeed, you never know that your weaker opponent might just beat you that day! So never look down on anyone! And even if you lose, don't show your frustration in an obvious manner(refer to picture above).

In a game, one of the best way to improve is constant practice, and of course, playing with better opponent. Heck, I've lost many games with egg results(15-0), yet the only thing one can do in such situation is to learn, learn, and learn.

I notice that a few of my friends(2 actually) started to pick up badminton lately, so just a piece of advice, play with me lar......PLEASE!!!!!! Like I say lor, it's ok to lose, just learn the ART OF LOOOOOOSING, be a graceful loser hehehe

NOTE: I'M REMINDING MYSELF TOO

Badminton

Played some good badminton last night, at Tmn Sea school in SS2. The reason I decided to go was because I need to play more games in order to improve, and playing with players like Uncle Joel, Uncle Charles, Ah Ming and company, really helps! I really cannot remember the last time I was involve in such high pace game, not much smashing, but very fast shuttle movements and skilfully taken shots(by them of course, I was so rusty I lost all my doubles game). I partner James for each and every of the doubles yesterday, guess we were still adapting to the floor, lightings, even the net is lower than Bukit Jalil's, and that proved a big problem for us. It just shows how much I need to improve..

Went there with another friend too, Wesley(again); He is very enthusiastic about this game after watching the matchup between Bukit Jalil and Sri Petaling last week, thus proclaimed that he will be playing badminton!

Wes, as a beginner, asked me how to hold a badminton racquet, he even posted about it here, I replied that the way you shake someone's hand is the way you hold the racquet. I think he heard wrongly, or was adviced by others to hold a knife to play badminton! Well, no worries, nothing wrong with it!

I am not a good player myself, but just enough to teach people how to hold racquet lor. I think the problem faced by new players is that they feel awkward holding the racquet. Wesley got it correctly though, just that his index finger was pointing towards something at the floor, I wonder what it is?? Knowing Wes, maybe a stray viagra pill??

Free...

After three totally trashing days(exams), I can now finally breath easily. It was after the exam, my mind went back to a "state" of "idle". Oh no, exam bug is finally hitting me, even my post are filled with technical terms; What I meant was that my mind was finally in relaxed mode. This is the time I will take notice of the surroundings, people around me, see if there's anything interesting and so forth. I'm a happy person today, one of the very first thing I notice is people around me, parents, friends, and most importantly, I thank God, I have Him.

What a wonderful day, the sight of sunset was totally soothing to my eyes. Was bathing when I turned to look outside, and saw the beautiful colors of sunset. I stood there for a moment, enjoying it, and now, posting it so that others can enjoy it too.

This is nothing significant actually, just that I'm happy my exams are over, and because of that, thought of changing this blogskin, something that carries the theme, "Colors of Nature". Now, please do not expect anything yet, because I might just start looking for a part time job to kill time and thus, will have no time once again.

Roadsaster

I'm not sure about you guys, but after driving for nearly 3 years(I know, I'm very young only lar), I notice that driving around KL or Selangor can be pretty tiring. There are a few reasons for that,
  1. Terrible JAMS

  2. Traffic lights management sucks, causing MORE JAMS

  3. The number of accidents are pretty high, causing EVEN MORE JAMS!!

  4. In cases of accidents, we malaysians are pretty caring, we slow down our cars to witness the wreckage, causing EVEN LAGI MORE JAMS!!!

  5. ......., causing EVEN LAGI EXTRA MORE JAMS!!!

  6. .........., causing EVEN LAGI EXTRA MORE TERUK JAMS!!

  7. And last BUT NOT LEAST, careless drivers around.

Yeah, I've notice that young drivers nowadays are pretty impatient; Either they brake too late, or accelerate too fast, I don't know lar, especially "P" drivers. Not that I'm against them or anything, I was once a "P" myself, just that, driving isn't such a leasure with wreckless people around.

Where are your signal my friend?

Okay, that fellah might not be a "P" driver, but just to prove my point about young impatient drivers; This picture was taken at Federal Highway, exact location, just infront of Kerinchi Putra LRT station. He really left his turning late, trying to overtake a few extra cars before joining the jam. Worst thing of all, WHERE'S HIS/HER SIGNAL!!!!

Just a word of advice, always obey the traffic rules, especially traffic lights and speed limits. One thing is for sure, if you happen to see a bright metalic blue Proton Saga, or a dual tone silver colored, year 84 Mitsubishi Super Touring, with a young driver inside, rest assured, HE IS DEFINATELY A SAFE DRIVER!

Busy!!!

Well those 2 ants look like me now, look calm and collected, yet as they say, as busy as an ant!

Well, have to stop blogging for a while now, EXAM LAR!!! Just finnished 2 subjects today and another one to go tomorrow, need lots of grace though..

Thursday, September 01, 2005

YAY!! I was the MOST POWERFUL PERSON IN COURT!!!

Went for a badminton matchup between Bukit Jalil and Sri Petaling yesterday. There were 10 matches altogether, 3 men singles, 4 men doubles and 3 ladies doubles; the match was won by Bukit Jalil with a final score of 6-4 and of course, I'm A FAN OF BUKIT JALIL LAR! Because I play there hehe.

It was fun yesterday, watching some really good matches, drops, smashes, drives, chops, slice, anything you can name it! It was like watching a 3rd division international game TOTALLY ESTHETIC!!!

The HIGHLIGHT

Well, my favourite game is of course the 3rd Men doubles, reasons; I was the umpire lar!

Player : Wei!! That shot is out lar!!!
Umpire : No, I trust the linesman and my own 2 eyes(fingers pointing at both the eyes)
Player : Come on lar...dun play play lar, out lar...summore I jump here there like a monkey fight so hard now you say out..(obviously the player is blur liao)
Umpire : Shuddup or I take away your point...Give you straight red card OUT!!!!
Player : ........

WOOT!!! I LOVE THE FEEL OF BEING THE MOST POWERFUL PERSON ON COURT! Geesh, was pretty sad Bukit Jalil lost the game I was umpiring, but nevertheless, cooooooool...Of course I had to be unbias during the game, and be FIRM!!! Of course there were times when the player was trying to overwhelm our umpires and linesmen, but at the end of the day, POWER PREVAILS!!!!

MERDEKA!!!!

My memory is really getting bad nowadays, I do remember that our National Day falls on the 31th of August, but I cannot remember the year. One sure thing when it comes to 31st of August, PUBLIC HOLIDAY!!!! That is why we Malaysians will ever be so patriotic! What more, our government spend quite alot each year entertaining us with cool display of fireworks;

I know, I've not been a good citizen, barely remembering how we got our independance. The only figure I can clearly recall is our beloved Dato Seri Dr. Mahatir bin Mohamad, OH! MY MISTAKE!!!! I mean Tunku Abdul Rahman, the father of Independance. By the way, Dato Seri Dr.Mahatir bin Mohamad is our 4th Prime Minister, and all due respect to him, what a great job he did!

Okay sorry for the misleading information, Tunku Abdul Rahman, father of Independance, fought for our independance from the grasp of the selfish British rule! The year was 19... when a group of Malaysian politician led by Tunku Abdul Rahman flew (I think so they flew, maybe they took a boat?) to England with their keris pointing at Queen Elizabeth's neck demanding that Malaya be set free! Of course by then, our poor country has been sucked dry of its tin ore and gold. I really cannot recall what actually happened, so I did a search on the internet about our history;

THE BRITISH RULE
In 1786, the British acquired Penang Island and established a settlement called George Town there. Gradually, Britain acquired control over more of the area to protect its shipping lanes between China and India.............................. In 1896 the Malay states accepted British advisors, and Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Pahang formed a federation. By 1914, Britain had either direct or indirect colonial control over all the lands that now make up Malaysia, which it called British Malaya.

British rule took several forms.................... Britain placed a representative called a resident in each kingdom. The local sultan agreed to accept the resident's advice on political and economic matters.

......................................................................................

INDEPENDENCE FROM THE BRITISH
From the 1890s the British invested heavily in what was then called Malaya, developing transportation and rubber plantations. Coupled with the power of the White Rajahs in Borneo, Britain ruled over Malaya until 1941 when the Japanese invaded Malaya and captured Singapore in early 1942. Japan occupied British Malaya and much of Asia until losing the war in 1945. World War II and its aftermath brought the end of British rule.

After World War II ended in 1945, the British tried unsuccessfully to organize Malaya into one state due to a mature independence movement organized as an alliance under YTM Tunku Abdul Rahman. This led to the birth of Malayan nationalism, which opposed a colonial status. In 1946 the United Malaya National Organization (UMNO) was established. ..................................... With Malay help, the British finally subdued the Emergency in 1960, three years after independence. In 1955 the Malayan Chinese Association (MCA) joined UMNO in an anticommunist, anticolonial coalition that won 51 of 52 parliamentary seats. The British relinquished their powers, and in 1957 the Federation of Malaya had gained complete independence from Britain. Singapore, which had a mostly Chinese population, remained outside the federation as a British crown colony. Peninsular Malaysia became an independent nation called Malaya in 1957. When the British flag was finally lowered in Kuala Lumpur's Dataran Merdeka in 1957, Tunku became the first prime minister of Malaya

The article has been cut short for easy viewing, moreover I believe none of you all will be reading it, but for those who are interested, click here. After reading the article, I feel proud to be a Malaysian, and proud of the people who fought for us. I do aptly remember how my grandmother praised our first prime minister. She remembers him as a non-racial malay who would go around mingling with his people, making sure that everyone is happy, and she remembers clearly how she met him loitering in the streets with a smiley face greeting any passer who recognizes him.

Our country has really progressed a long way since, gone are the days of trishaws and bull carts, now we have our very own car manufacturer, Proton! Which of late, has just lost its CEO and is now speculating on hiring a foreign CEO, in which, does not bodes well with our ex-prime minister. Okay, enough of politics, and of course for all fellow Malaysians, HAPPY MERDEKA DAY!!!! May your pants be so filled that you'll drop some coins for me.

Things to come

What Kind Of Friend?

Someone posted me a very interesting question the other day through MSN, asking me what do I think of him as a friend? I really don't know what irked him to ask such a question, but he's been going through really really hard times lately, you know I know lar what kind of hard times, and if you don't know, don't bother to ask, because it is not related to this topic.

Seriously though, no one is in any position to judge anyone else, no one at all except God. I mean, its not right also to comment about others, especially behind their backs or so forth, that is why I choose not to say a word when he asked me how I feel about him. I do have this failing too, being fast to judge, talk about others and so forth, but then again, as I grow older(not that old lar, just a figure of speech) I realize that it is just plain wrong for us to talk about others, what more people who treat you like close friend, you wouldn't know how much you'll hurt someone if they come to know that a close friend is talking behind them. So, a word of advice, try not to talk about others, even if you have something to share, do it infront of that person.

Anyway, back to this topic. Well, no doubt lar, he FFK(Fong Fei Kei = Let Go Aeroplane) me a few times, yet no matter what happens, he's still a friend. I do admit, I did talk about him, and I feel bad too, that is why I openly admit now lor, that I too have this failing, and that is why I took the next step trying to improve myself. You see, my friend here have some problems with, lets phrase the subject as, Boss, so he started asking me opinion about Boss. Though I have to admit, after hearing things from him and a few others, I do have bad bad impression of Boss, but somehow or another, I declined to comment anything and let my dear friend decide on things himself.

After a few weeks, this friend of mine came back with news of Boss and then posted me the question above(see picture). It seems, there are many things going on in his mind now, he's confused about Boss, he's having some conscience because he's lying to someone(don't ask me who), in short, one confused young man! Poor fellah, I do have my own opinion on how he should go around doing things, but then again, I rather keep my comments to myself and not think about it anymore, moreover, only HE will find out if his decision is a good or bad one at the end of the day.

Oh yeah, just to recap about the word FFK, fong fei kei, it is a cantonese word used to describe a person who.......

Okay my mind is a little bit stuck now, so let me paint you a story instead;
One day, A invited B to have lunch at a famous Dim Sum restaurant in Kuchai Lama(randomly picked area). B agreed and did all the arrangements he could to reach there on time even if it means going through some troubles. Later on, B notice that A invited a few others too and they happily waited for A in that restaurant.

It was about half an hour later when B decided that everyone was hungry and then ordered something light to eat first but not before trying countless times to contact A to no avail.

The group finnished eating and called A again, this time, A picks up the phone and claims he is in a far far away land(not that far lar, maybe 1 hour drive to Kuchai from that place). In the end, A didn't turn up

End of story......

Okay, a short story to illustrate the meaning of FFK. In that case, A is described as the person who FFK B and the bunch of friend. Anyway, FFK is not a proper word, as in, not found in the dictionary, so use it wisely...

w3sw33...Gone

Yeah, well, my friend's blog is gone, http://w3sw33.blogspot.com....the freakin hilarious, ultra colourful blog is gone. You know, that just takes away one of my daily routine, to check Wes' blog for updates and read it, write in some comments, type something in his chat box, well, too bad, its gone and can never be revive. To be frank, Wes is a good friend of mine, some might think his post are rather offensive, sometimes full of criticism, bubbling with sarcasm, blah blah, but seriously, Wesley is a nice guy. His main intention for his blog is to make it funny, so that his circle of friends will enjoy it.

Sometimes, don't comment if you don't know a person. If those who know him for like years can live with it, why bother? I do feel bad for him though, in real life, he's just a gentle bloke, but expressive with words and actions, in short FUNNY! But someone who don't know a person, don't be quick to judge others. Well I feel that the main point here is, his blog was never meant for people who don't know him, if he was such a fame seeker, I believe he would be famous by now.

Well, blogging is fun, cruel at times when you have anonymous people commenting using harsh words. Well, maybe it is sometimes good to keep some privacy in a blog, don't be too open about your life, your work, your daily activities, religion and etc. Not that it is wrong to be open, but sometimes you've got some "friendly" strangers who thinks they know everything, armed with words that can blow ur head off, using ur post as ammunition, you know lar..smart guys who are always out to make life difficult for others...I'm sure those famous bloggers are always facing such problems don't they??

Anyway, friends of Wes will surely miss his little sarcasm and criticism at w3sw33...

Another Friendly

Just finnish a futsal frienly last night; I believe it was more like a setup match, not a real friendly like the last time, please refer here. Well, it seems our very formidable team has been split like a banana torn into two(it's not easy to tear a banana OK!).

Aihh, dissapointing, our team is left with Philip, Justus and I. Please don't be fooled, Philip actually lost interest in futsal and has not been training properly and thus he was missing shots here there everywhere!!! Daniel pulak, suppose to play, but his very nice boss, who so happened to be bribed by Mark, in turn kept him in the office thus eliminating our only striker in the team. Timo, quite futsal all together liao.

As for replacement killers, we had no choice but to hire Big Sam, who actually performed very well), Jesudas(this wan arrr!!!!!!), and Aaron(still lacking in experience) to play for us. Just for your information, Jesudas was previously our opponent, so you should know the consequences lar.

This time, we had to go against a very dangerous and deadly force consisting of, Mark, Matthew, Daniel(indian), Jonathan, Robert and Isaac.

So let me paint you a picture of our game;

  1. We haven't even sweat yet when this Jesudas lost the ball and let them score(barely a minute gone).

  2. Justus and I running like crazy while Philip sitting outside watching and laughing.

  3. Aaron miss don't know how many chances and Jesudas pass the ball to opponents don't know how many times.

  4. Philip came in and miss don't know how many chances!

  5. Opponents playing very well making Justus and I run like crazy again

  6. We scored more goals than them.

  7. WE ACTUALLY SCORED MORE GOALS THAN THEM!!!!!!!

  8. Final score 6-5 to our favour

  9. We thanked Isaac for scoring an own goal which helped us win

  10. and obviously, WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeap, they tried splitting us, they tried to implant a spy in our team, they tried many things!!! BUT WE STILL WON!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!! Seriously though, all credits to them for giving us such a good fight, and best thing of all, for actually handing us the victory(the own goal). I guess their guilty conscience cought hold of them. Anyway, I believe we played extreamly well they were the better team, with better overall movement and of course with Jesudas giving the ball to them.

Of course after the game, I went up to Mark to console him a little, "It's okay Mark, good game, even though we haven't field our best squad yet.."

To be frank, I do miss the old team, we clicked much better and our passing and movement were very much better compared to this one.

Shit, I'm beginning to be like Jesudas, the cocky fellah!!!!

Mistake Correction

Okay, Aunty Sandy, you win! Yeah, I'll have to delete the post about her, she's been bugging me for the past week to remove it and so, I'll do it lor, that's why you'll find that post deleted, but the pictures will still be there though.

By the way, just want to correct a mistake I did the other day about the birthday bash. Remember Aunty Jane? Well apparently her birthday is not on August, she was there as a replacement for sean, her husband, who was, unfortunately, working that day.

Handsome rite??

Yeah, they are a happily married couple. Wanted to post one of their wedding picture, but didn't manage to get the file in time for this post, this Aunty Jane cancelled the file transfer...

There, a picture of both of them in Cherating.

Ahhh...some good news, just before I clicked "Publish Post", aunty Jane suddenly send me a nice picture of their wedding, there you go;

Foodfull day

Alright, I notice how much the contents of my post have changed since I started blogging a few months back. Then, I would post about what happened daily, things that zipped through my mind, and I would type super long to try and make myself and the readers understand. But of late, I only blog if the mood is there and my post are all rather short and hard to understand, even me myself find it hard! Besides that, I started like using unedited pictures to sometime illustrate things.

After talking to a friend about blogging, I suddenly realize that some people do take blogging seriously! Even though she doesn’t post too often, but when she does, she really pour her heart out and when others start commenting, she’ll get worked out because she doesn’t want it to be discussed outside her blog. Well, I was speechless, don’t know how to put my words together, and in the end I just replied with, “Maybe you think too much lar.”

It is sort of weird, because she told me she don’t mind what others think about her post, but she mind when others talk about her post. I was like, hrmmmm, what’s the difference? If you don’t mind what others think about your blog then common sense will tell you that its not an issue when they talk about your blog! Anyway, in the end, I concluded that everyone has a mind of their own, and everyone has the right to have a mind of their own, we cannot in any way influence them. As for me, I never take blogging seriously and my mind is always too so simple that even if I type my whole mind out, it will still not be of any topic for the rest to discuss about, in short, its because I’m a guy lar! I mean, who wants to talk about guys for, everyone is only interested about girls only mar, that is why whatever she wrote became a topic for the rest.

Okay, enough about that topic;

The day was pretty interesting, woke up with my clothes on the floor… apparently, my mom wanted us to fold our clothes all over again because she’s complaining we wear the same shirt all the time. You see, guys are not as complicated as women, we see a shirt, our mind will immediately interpret it as, “A SHIRT” and automatically pick the cleanest, closest shirt we can lay our little hands on. Whereas for girls, a shirt can have multiple interpretation;
  1. Aiyoh this shirt color doesn’t match my pants lar.

  2. Shit this wan don’t match my skirt.

  3. Hrrmmm I look fat in this particular shirt.

  4. Do I look GOOD??

  5. EEYERRRR GOT DUST LERR!!!!

  6. ….

  7. ….

  8. ….

  9. ….

  10. ….

And that is only for shirts. Imagine them hogging the closet for hours concluding about their skirt lar, their belt lar, their hair clip lar, this and that……in short, guy’s headache. Of course it still beats me, how come at the end of the day; a girl’s closet will always look more tidy than a guys one even though we just pick the shirt from the top!

Sorry I digress so far! Well, mom was complaining how I always wear the same shirt so she took out all my shirt and make me fold them and place them in my cupboard again. Took me about 5 minutes, simply fold all the clothes and then tug it nicely into my cupboard. Well, mom was on leave today, so as usually, she’ll make us do some things to make the house look clean, I’m not complaining though…

Next up, brushed my teeth and ate some macaroni mom cooked, shhhh, I’m not an ardent fan or macaroni, in fact I don’t really like it but because it’s mummy cooking, I just eat without complaining and it tasted pretty good actually. Later on, helped my dad to burn a VCD for a presentation. Just before leaving the house, mom caught hold of me and asked me to grind the gula melaka. Well I think she’ll regret to find out how much I love to much gula melaka(kids don’t do it, its no good munching gula melaka) and caused some 5% lost in total net weight.

Went to UE3 mall with my dad to pass the VCD and to show them how to play it in their laptops. Took about 20 minutes to play the file and after that, dad took me for lunch at Marybrown. I ate a chicken burger and later ordered another fish-O-fillet. After that, we walked around the mall for about an hour and went home to sleep, preparing for church. Mom prepared some delicious meal today, curry cuttlefish, steamed chicken and vege. It was superb! Makes you forget about the pounds and calories, anyway, it never bothered me before.

That’s practically all that happened today, left out some later part because nothing much happened, went to church, came home, and now blogging…

Big Kids

Was walking around in KLCC after my friend called me telling me our revision class is now on Wednesday. It’s quite packed there today, school holidays, so I took a walk in the park. Its about noon when I passed the children pool and was scratching my head, why is the pool so empty?

So I read the sign there and found out that…

Please take your time reading the rules and regulations. Note that it is closed for maintenance on Mondays and only children below 12 are allowed in the pool.

Took a walk around the whole park, snapped a few pictures around;

And I wonder what that man is doing in a kiddy’s area! Too many oversized kids around nowadays.

This is really nice, a small family having picnic near the playground.

I walked for about an hour there and then when I was turning back, something caught my eyes,

The pool, which is supposed to be closed today, is filled with people. WOW! Those children are REALLY HUGE!!!
