Time in Oz

Hei guys, its been a long time since i've written anything here.

Well just for some updates, i'm actually currently in Australia doing my Practical Exams. Its been 5 days since landing, and things have gone pretty well.

I'm here with a bunch of friends, 8 of them including me, we landed in Brisbane from Singapore from KL if you can decipher that! The flight was OK! But running on an economy class causes your back to ache and having someone as big as me cramped in the middle of my Arabian friend, Adil, and an unknown lady,"someone", it gets worst!

First day in brisbane was nice, the weather was COOLING, about 22 degrees and less than 20 at night. But the sucky part was having to sleep in backpackers with other people I don't know. Well if those were friendly people, i wouldn't mind any BIT! Call it something or anything! I had some annoyed australian in my room! Anyway, forget that part.

On the 24th of September, we checked out from Bunk Backpackers in Brisbane, hired a taxi and payed AUD37 for a full trip to USQ university doorstep. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that food here is pretty expensive, and the water was like gold for the 8 of us! Thanks to the lack of H2O I had some nasty infection and fever for the next 2 days.

By the way, the people in USQ are pretty nice, its quite surprising that their culture is totally opposite of ours, you have married adults aged 40+ doing their degrees, and those are people who really work in their related field, unlike us malaysians that have to make do with "technicians" with "degree" holders!

Next up is the study schedule, the first 2 days of official practical stuff was on Monday and spans out for 5 days. First and second day was like "hell"?? if the term is suitable, we have to wake up at 0600 hrs everyday just to get bfast and lunch (you have to pack for lunch yourself), attend the class at 8am, have a break at 12 till 1, another break at 5 - 6 and back to the hostel by 10pm...yes whole day of practical stuff!!!!

Anyway, i'm tired now, need a rest, its 9am and i've just finished a presentation!

well that's for now.....see ya later!!!!

MERDEKA!!!

I know, I know, it's not the 31st of August, but...

MERDEKA MERDEKA MERDEKA!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

MY EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER!!!! phewwww...

Okay have to admit, this is really one of the toughest subject I've ever come accross, no not because the subject is hard, but because we didn't have a trusty lecturer to guide us through 2 of the subjects. Nevertheless, its over now and I can at last have some relaxation time for myself.

Anyway, going off now to pack up and get ready for badminton. YAY!! I FEEL SO FREEE

Oh what a day

Time - 0700hrs, alarm went off, woke up abit drowsy, took my note book and started reading........

geesh exam la, thank God at least today's subject we had proper lectures. It wasn't so bad, could do most of the questions easily.

Today's paper is called "Telecommunication Principles". The assignments arent that hard, well that is because it is OPEN BOOK! But when it comes to exam, well different story lor.

The questions aint that hard, the hard part is the steps, THEY ARE SO LONG!!! anyway that is just for this subject.

Next up is Engineering materials...TIME TO MEmORIZE!!!

BAD BAD

Arrghh couldn't sleep last night, suddenly I felt feverish, and started to shiver. Guess it might be due to lack of fluid, yeap, haven't been taking enough fluid I guess, especially after badminton!

Well, it really rob me of my sleep, as my stomach was really gassy too last nite, and had to do big business a few times!!! ARGGHHH WhAT A FEELING!!!! Lack of sleep plus, gassy stomach, caused me to wake up with a splitting headache. Suppose to go to Lowyat to print out the final assignment but decided not too go today as I really don't feel I can take it walking around.

Well, such terrible feeling, now I'm wondering if it is food poisoning? Well, wouldn't want to think so much, just pray that I'll be back bouncing soon.

Pain(T)Ball

Alright, this post is a little belated.

13th May, a group of us, HUGE GROUP actually, went for paintball in Bukit Jalil.

That's how huge the group was.

Alright, we reach there about 10+..+....++ and had our briefing and then the game started. Sounds easy? Well the whole process from "talking" till "playing" took more than 2 hours, to be exact, 2 hours "+" and another "+" and another "++".

Anyway the game wasn't that bad, just that the next time I'm going, I'll make sure there are more games to play!!!! Imagine the first game took only 10 seconds!!!!!!

Seriously, I don't want to go into detail of how the games goes or what, but will just extract the safety tips if ur going for paintball the next time.

  1. Always wear your mask when your in the field nomatter if the game is ON OR NOT!!!!!!

  2. PROTECT YOUR VALUEBLE!!!!

see what I mean? Sorry no details of this person will be disclosed!

  3. Don't get shot at, consequences might be unbearable

Well that's all about Paintball for now, seriously though, I wouldn't mind playing again, just make sure it is cheaper and we all get to play more games! Hoping for another game at mudtrekker, click here for more information. Hopefully that would be more entertaining...

Aquaria KLCC

Alright, I've been to Aquaria KLCC before, March in fact, and well, was kind of busy to post things up. Anyway here are some pictures from my short trip.

It seems the snakes there don't really like me, all of them were hiding their face from me.

This is one scary looking lizard. I think he might interest Gary though (don't ask me who is Gary).

Yay some fighting beatle(not the real name).

Frogs are cool, was wondering if I could eat this one. Obviously NOT, a toad would definately taste better.

This is one HUGE lazy lizard, not as big as the comodo dragon, but still big enough to frighten small kids.

Some monster here, lazing around. Poor guy, he must be wondering, "When is my food coming?"

STOP STARRING AT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another hungry guy/girl aka male/female beats me man, I don't know their sex.

Well, he's hiding alright, but he's not as good as .........

these guys

AHA THE TROPICAL AREA!!

Nice little summerged tree. The fishes inside looks set for the dining table too..

This guy must be nearly 2m long!!! NO KIDDING MAN!!!

They really know how to make ur mouth water don't they, I know I know, I should be loosing weight now.

This guy is called a snapping turtle, he'll snap ur *$%@ if you don't behave.
*$%@ stands for "finger".

Well these 2 were the only pathetic things we were allowed to touch, COME ON!! REDANG OFFERS MORE!!!

AHA another one set for the menu........the almighty PUFF PUFF FISH

They had this cool underwater walkway where sea creatures are placed.

Well those fishes are huge actually, according to one of the signs, FISHES ARE SUPPOSE TO BE 1/3 BIGGER THAN PERCEIVED THROUGH GLASS. COOOOOL!

Shark..

Shark's food..

More shark's food.

Last but not least, I LOVE CORAL REEFS

Elizabeth

Remember baby Elizabeth? Well if you don't, look into the archive for "Baby Elizabeth"

Here are some updates;

Here's mummy looking at her baby, so far I've only heard one type of comment from mummy about baby,

"Know how to MAKAN only!"

Here's baby just waking up from her slumber, well, she's really a talkative baby, you know? "gugu gaga" type and all.

Her favourite move of all is of course showing her tongue.

One thing about this baby, she really likes it when there is a crowd around her, she'll be looking here and there when you are talking and start to make noise to gain some attention....

Of course she once again said, "OH NO!!! I LOOK EVEN MORE LIKE DADDY NOW!!!!"

Another Rock Climb

Well we went for another bout of rock climbing, this time at a different venue, it was at Summit USJ (sorry forgot the name of the place). Well this place is very much older compared to Camp5, but nevertheless it was still fun.

Due to my own carelessness, I forgot to bring along the camera, but, there's realy nothing to shout about really.

This time, we were joined by my mom, yeah I mean it, my very own MUMMY!

So what did I learn from this trip? I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!!!! Well, stopping Monday and Wednesday badminton session won't help much wont it? hehe

Camp 5 rock climbing

It was about 2 months back when we went for rock climbing, a bunch of us. We booked the training course which takes about 4 hours and cost about RM100++. We were thought the very basic of rock climbing, how to tie a knot and so forth.

Here's our trainer...

We got a very cool trainer to start with, good communication skills and he sounds pretty experienced.

We were taught how to wear a harness, he explained that we should treat it like wearing your undies, you know, gentle and make sure your comfortable, especially your valuables, you wouldn't want to lose them. Anyway the valuables means your belongings la, dun hang here and there, keep it properly...

Next up we were treated to some fun with bouldering, which is the very basic of climbing, you know one huge rock there, get to the top, give a victory cry, get some attention, and jump down. Oh yeah once again, please protect your valuables.

Its really important your harness is properly fastened, remember PROTECT YOUR VALUABLES.

Up next was learning how to be a belayer. Its not easy being a belayer you know, having to support your friend who is up there, his/her life DEPENDS ON YOU!!! And the most important thing, his/her VALUABLES IS IN YOUR HANDS!!!!

The most important part of being a belayer is, NEVER LET GO YOUR HANDS and ALWAYS LOCK UP!!! You know as in LOCK UP YOUR VALUABLES! Just incase a snatch theif was nearby.

Alrite, our dear trainer was kind enough to show us his skills!

Well I volunteered to be his belayer......but was thoroughly distracted by some chunted girls climbing, good thing he was a pro, you know, a PRO!

Oh yeah, by the way we spotted a green martian stomping around CAMP5......

Geesh what a stinko man.

So the morale of the story, ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR VALUABLES!

Short Layoff

Okay, this is long overdue (sorry la, abit busy with work the past few months). I did take a short trip to Bukit Tinggi during the Chinese New Year Holidays. Here are some of the goods that came with it (Note don't expect details ok?).

Waking up in the morning is very very refreshing indeed. Looked out of the window and saw some thick midst.

Nice isn't it? Of course that is only the starters.

This is how the lodging looks like, of course its nothing to shout about, but its nice you know, being able to enjoy some fresh air. Its actually not a hotel or what, but more like a high class condominium, so happen we just rent a few appartments and it became a trip.

After a short walk (about 5 minutes from my appartment), I went up to the stream, here are some pictures from the short walk;

On the way to the stream

Taken about 6-7 p.m

IMPORTANT!

Oh yeah, for anyone who so happen "Not To Know Me" please do not report me in, you see the sign there? I've just violated the law

It did drizzle abit before I went out, and guess wat, mushrooms sprang out of nowhere...

But of course, the most enjoyable part of the whole trip
