Formula 1???

Yesterday, I witness one of the most humiliating scene in Formula 1. It is the first time in HISTORY!!!! That a race was ran by only 6 cars, Ferraris, Jordans and Minardis. Obviously Ferrari dominated and Michael won whereas Rubens came in second. For the first time, Monteiro, a Portugese driver, was seen on a podium, another piece of HISTORY!!! Man, this is bad for F1, especially when the US Grand Prix is meant to promote the sport in the land of NASCAR and so forth. End effect?? Well, Fans boo Schumacher to victory, reported F1Racing.net.

Not a very normal scene isn't it?? Come on, when is the last time we witness a JORDAN driver up there? I don't even know who that fellah is!!!!!

Well, here's what happened,

"Michelin will not allow its seven Formula One teams race in the US Grand Prix today. This was announced by Michelin today in response of the FIA statement. The FIA refused to allow Michelin to use different tyres or to create a chicane in the final corner.

It means that Renault, McLaren, Williams, Toyota, Sauber, Red Bull and BAR will not be racing in the F1's ninth round. It is still unclear what will happen and if the race will get underway with only six cars (Ferrari, Jordan and Minardi)."

Well, I really can't see why Michelin did not do their homework this time around! Producing "UNSAFE" tyres for your very dear trusted teams?? My goodness!!! And now, news are spreading that Ferrari didn't allow agree to them for a chicane to be built at turn 13(not so sure lar which turn) to reduce the force on the left rear tyre, the problematic area. I really cannot explain in details why they are having such problems, lazy to photoshop the layout of the track indicating the sector where problems will arise.

By the way, congrats to Bridgestone for coming out with competetive tyres, allowing your 3 teams to race and score, score alot too!!! I really don't blame Ferarri for going out, some might call them lack of gamesmanship but hei!!! They did their homework, they analysed all possible probabilities, and I'm very sure they wouldn't want all that hard work to go down the drain. I feel sorry for the other teams too, just because Michelin made a BOO BOO, 14 cars were stuck in the garage. From what I hear from the comentary teams, they are not sure if the tyre can last 10 laps!!!

Problems arose when Ralf crashed during practice, that's when the Michelin engineers woke up. I really feel bad for Sauber, the one team I'm pretty fond of because of Petronas, and I feel for the thousands of fans who came expecting 20 cars to start the race, sorry to say, they've just wasted a minimum of USD$100 each person. Man, what a sad sight for Formula 1.

Okay, blame time! Of course in my oppinion, blame it on Michelin, they were lazy, they didn't study things carefully, they blew it bigtime, and I hope there's only one tyre supplier for F1 next season!!! YA MICHELIN MICHELIN MICHELIN!!!!! That's where fingers should be pointing at!!!! Oh well, some others blaming on Bernie(is that your name??) some blaming on political war, blah blah, aiyah if the french tyre fellah didn't mess it up, none such thing would happen lar, blame Michelin if F1 fail big time in US!! YES BLAME THEM!!! Blame them that poor old Saubers had to stay back in garage, blame them I didn't see the Petronas logo on track.......

COME ON!!! BURST THOSE TYRES WITH A KNIFE?? BANG IT WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER!!! I WASTED PRECIOUS SLEEP WATCHIN 6 CARS RACING BECAUSE OF YOU!!!!

Oh yeah, burst the tyres all you want, just don't do it on the Saubers, my favourite drivers are driving for them too.

Darn Michelins

Hey Jacob, just came across your blog through your post on Jacques' forum.

Great to meet a fellow Sauber Petronas supporter, though it's a pity that the USGP went horribly. Btw, I linked to you already... ;)
